It all started when…

12 years ago, I found myself outgrowing the traditional strip club scene. The dizzying chaos, one-sided transactions, and emptiness I felt after each visit had lost their appeal. But I still craved genuine connection with beautiful women.

So, I set out to re-imagine the modern gentleman’s club.

In 2013, a Meatpacking loft was transformed into a private club that would later become known as Die Happy. It was refined, relaxed, and—above all—a safe and empowering space for both men and women.

Instead of hiring professional dancers, I put an ad on Craigslist and welcomed “girl-next-door” types—everyday women curious about exploring and expressing the erotic sides of themselves. When these women felt safe, seen and empowered, something magical happened: they blossomed.

Being around women who were truly turned on and expressive was transformative—not just for them, but for me.

Through these exchanges, I connected deeply with myself. I became a more present, expressive, and connected man. For the first time, I stepped outside of my head and into my heart… and I left feeling good. A lot like the feeling after good s*x with a close lover.

Yes, all of this from a lap dance.

Over the years, our underground lap dance parties became a New York City staple—whispered about and sought after. In 2018, we took the next step and opened our own licensed cabaret in Hudson Yards: Rosewood Theater. Since then, it has become our sanctuary—a home for our very own erotic (r)evolution. A space where we continue to explore, experiment, and re-imagine what a gentleman’s club - and ourselves - could be.

Human expression and connection is what Die Happy has always been about and remains at the cornerstone of Rosewood Theater. It is the essence of our club and the human experience that we all are privileged to share. If this resonates with you, you’re in the right place.

We look forward to welcoming you into our potent world.

The Future of Strip Clubs in America: From Transaction to Transformation

Strip clubs, as we’ve known them, are dying.

And honestly? It’s time.

The champagne-stained leather booths, the one-dimensional fantasy, the cold transactions cloaked as intimacy—this era is fading. Fast. The American strip club model, built on objectification, secrecy, and exploitation, is crumbling under the weight of a changing culture. And beneath that rubble… something sacred is beginning to bloom.

At Rosewood Theater, we’ve seen it firsthand. We didn’t set out to save the strip club—we set out to reimagine it. What would it look like if adult entertainment became a place of reverence, not just release? What if pleasure was shared, not bought? What if women were empowered, not exposed—and men were invited to feel, not just fantasize?

These weren’t marketing questions. They were soul-level inquiries. And the answers became a living, breathing experiment: Rosewood. A licensed cabaret and conscious social club. A sanctuary. A stage where performance becomes prayer and the erotic is elevated to art.

But Rosewood is just one temple in a much larger movement. A quiet uprising is sweeping through the underworld of nightlife and sex work—a movement I call The Erotic Renaissance.

We are witnessing a cultural rebirth.

Women are awakening to their power and refusing to perform at the expense of their dignity. Men are beginning to question the scripts they’ve been handed about dominance, detachment, and desire. More people are craving authenticity over performance, connection over conquest, presence over pretense.

Strip clubs will not disappear. But the ones that survive—truly thrive—will be those willing to evolve.

The future of strip clubs is not about better bottle service.
It’s about creating spaces where both the performer and the guest are invited into deeper embodiment.

The future is not about more nudity.
It’s about revealing our truth.

At I AM MEDICINE, our modern mystery school, we’ve begun to train dancers and guests alike in this new way of being: eye contact as a practice. Breath as a gateway. Sensuality as ceremony. Imagine a club where the dance isn’t just something to consume—it’s something to feel. Something that moves you. Something that heals.

The new strip club will be a school.
A dojo.
A temple.
A theater for the erotic soul.

This isn’t fantasy. It’s already happening. Women are no longer just dancing—they’re leading. Men are no longer just watching—they’re awakening. And together, we’re remembering what it means to be human—wild, soft, powerful, vulnerable, divine.

So yes, the strip club is dying.

But don’t mourn. Celebrate.

Because something ancient is being reborn in its place.

Welcome to the future.

Welcome to the Erotic Renaissance at Rosewood Theater.

What is this all about?!

Dear community,

This message has been a draft for over a week now. Putting my mixed emotions together has been a struggle…but I feel it’s more important now than ever to speak my truth.

I’ve kept quiet through COVID, Black Lives Matter, riots outside of my home in New York City, elections, the war in Europe and now war in the Middle East.

I’ve felt conflicted and even embarrassed.

I’ve felt what I do is so insignificant. That encouraging you to come and support the women at Rosewood Theater, “celebrate the erotic” with us and be entertained is not where I should be putting my energy. How dare I ask for your attention.

And then I remembered when we re-opened Rosewood Theater after COVID, we had customers and models returning and enthusiastically sharing with us…

  • “I feel more at home here (Rosewood) then my own home”

  • “you’ve saved my marriage”

  • “this is the first time I’ve left my house”

  • “it feels so good to be social again”

So I ask myself, isn’t this what it’s all about?

To share in laughter, sorrow, exploration, and celebration together in community. To exchange eye contact, warm embraces and stories. This human connection brings life to our lives. Without this human connection, I wonder what would happen.

I am proud of our connected Die Happy Tonight community.  A community made up of all colors, all religions and spiritual practices, all political parties, all sexual orientations. All coming together to love and celebrate each other - even with all of our differences and through the hard times.

Maybe behind our differences we all share the same needs, desires and fate.

Maybe the world would benefit from more safe places, where we can express our authentic selves with no judgement.

Maybe if we feared less and loved more all the suffering we are all experiencing would go away.

I don’t know.

What I do know is that I appreciate you. I appreciate you for continuing to show up. I appreciate your courage, strength and love during these challenging times. I will continue to show up for all of you for as long as I can.

Respectfully,

Die Happy Tonight, Founder and Co-Owner

"Erotic Empowerment" is a Self-Care Practice AND Professional Development

I've been in the adult entertainment business for over six years now, and one thing has become very clear - the most resilient entertainers are the ones who not only own and embrace their sexuality, but who resource it as a source of power, confidence, and radical independence. Possessing the ability to feel comfortable with your body, desires, and sexual expression in today's society is a huge accomplishment, especially if you own a vulva. Feel proud of your accomplishment if you're in this business, and begin incorporating a practice of erotic empowerment as a way to cultivate even more confidence and self-assuredness that will protect you from some of the challenging parts of this industry.

Erotic empowerment can be a way of asserting agency in an industry that often objectifies and commodifies us. Contrary to what it seems, we are not at the mercy of the desires of our counterparts. Yes, you can cater to the binary gaze and feel empowered in it by claiming your pleasure. Through the power of focus, you can put your pleasure above all else, use the binary gaze to your advantage, and achieve sustainable/longer-lasting relationships that center your consent, autonomy, and empowerment. When you prioritize the embodiment of your pleasure, you won’t have to do as much work to attract attention.

You don’t have to be sexy the way any other entertainer is, you get to embody arousal the way you enjoy, and your audience gets to admire you admiring yourself.

Here's what my erotic empowerment practice looks like, and how I apply it as a performer: First and foremost - orgasms. I have them often. I know my arousal response so well that I can induce it voluntarily. If you're an adult entertainer, I highly recommend you consistently explore and take care of your body (exercise, yoga, massages, etc.), and engage in sensual solo pleasure. Incorporating a practice where you become an expert on what turns you on, what turns you off, where/how you like to be touched, where/how you don't like to be touched, will give you the confidence to use your customers for your pleasure - a very profitable technique.

My lap dances are rehearsals for the real thing. Every movement I make, every stroke and touch, is informed by what I would like done onto me, and by what I could later use as inspiration for a self-induced orgasm. I see my clients as mirrors, reflecting to me how I feel about myself - which is why confidence is extremely important because sometimes, the mirror is dirty. I implore us all to wipe dirty mirrors clean with our self-assuredness. Assert how you like to be treated, touched, and cared for, and if they don't reflect back what you're projecting - move on. Dirty or warped mirrors are not worth your time and effort - unless, of course, they'd like to be disciplined into better behavior. Practice teaching your clients consent and define the boundaries for them. Show them how moving slow and being intentional creates better intimacy.

Ultimately, erotic empowerment is about claiming our power and centering our pleasure. It involves embracing our own desires and using them to create a fulfilling and rewarding career that empowers us to be our most authentic and confident selves. My wish for us all is to have robust empowerment practices, and self-care routines that grant us strength, bliss, and financial gain. May these tools and techniques bring you great fortune!

The Death of the American Strip Club

The strip club is dead. This isn’t just a personal belief—it’s a professional observation. Walk into almost any club in America today and you’ll feel it: the glamour has faded, the sophistication is gone, and the energy is stale. In an industry long dominated by control, power plays, and quiet discrimination, it's no surprise we've seen a steep decline over the past decade. But what’s next? Below is a timeline—and a glimpse into what I believe is the future of adult hospitality.

  • 2008 – The housing market crashes. Wall Street is bailed out. Corporate expense accounts are reined in, and the golden era of strip club private rooms starts to fade.

  • 2015 – Dancers nationwide file class action lawsuits, demanding recognition as employees under federal labor law.

  • 2017 – The #MeToo movement explodes. Dancers fight back against the normalized hostility of their workspaces.

  • 2018 – Under Armour announces an internal policy shift: no more strip club charges on corporate cards. Many companies follow.

  • 2019 – Hustlers hits theaters, exposing the real-life underbelly of club culture—drugged drinks, predatory schemes, and ethical decay.

  • 2019 – Stricter regulations in NYC force over half the city’s strip clubs to close their doors.

  • 2021 – Industry growth slows. Revenue gains drop from 4.9% (2012–2017) to a projected 1.7% by 2023.

  • 2022 – Post-COVID, empowered women discover creative, independent ways to earn and express themselves—no club required.

Today, most strip clubs are in their final act, grasping to survive as the old paradigm crumbles. And yet, the hunger for real connection, beauty, and pleasure has never been greater. What gives?

Something deeper is unfolding.

We are living through a sacred rupture—a rebirth of the erotic self. Around the world, the culture of sex is being rewritten. Women are rising, risking everything to reclaim their bodies, voices, and power. And men are awakening, learning to listen, honor, and follow. This is not just an industry shift—it’s a global rebalancing.

Welcome to the most thrilling chapter in human history.

Welcome to the birth of the erotic renaissance.

More on this to come…

An Honest Message from Our Owner & Founder

Dear community,

For the past year we have been exploring new markets (Amsterdam, LA & Miami), an NFT based membership model, re-launching our mobile application and new creative projects... all very exciting stuff. However, I am at a standstill.

You see, I've been operating Die Happy Tonight for over a decade now. It was a lot of fun in the beginning (too much fun at times!) and I gave it my all to make this dream a success. Over time, this dream became more and more a legit business and less and less fun. For the past three years I have been focused on re-inventing myself as a man and pursuing a new dream, building a 100 acre wellness camp in the Catskill Mountains. I know, not sexy... but it fills my soul.

Even with my focus elsewhere, we survived Covid and are currently doing about 60% of pre-Covid business. Each week, on average, 180+ models and 700+ guests attend our events; with 10% being first timers. All through word of mouth. What's scary and also exciting is the gentlemen's club industry as a whole has changed drastically over the last decade. Changes in technology, government and culture have made the girlfriend experience easier to access than ever. Because of this, about 30% of the clubs in New York City have closed for good. Even with these new challenges, the growth potential in this space, especially for a company like ours, is massive.

Die Happy Tonight has amassed a loyal following of models and guests due to our truly unique business model and our ability to push the envelope. So, I ask you, our beloved community, "what are your thoughts on the future of Die Happy Tonight and would you like to be involved"?

For the first time in 10+ years I am opening this conversation and the opportunity to invest in Die Happy Tonight to our community. Shoot us an email at eve@diehappytonight.com with your thoughts and your dreams - maybe we can make them come true. And if you're interested in investing or collaborating I am excited to explore all possibilities with you as we continue to re-invent the modern gentleman's club. Interested investors and collaborators, please complete this form.

Collective Quarter Life Crisis

Sex+Tapes+still+2.jpg

Dear Diary,

Why don’t I just become an e-girl and make stupid videos on Tik Tok? Or I could get an Onlyfans account and make middle grade porn. We both know I’m not going to do either of those things.

I did decide to book that vacation I was talking about. It might be a welcome change from laying around and feeling sorry for myself. Oh! Have you ever noticed how hard it is to feel bad for yourself when your friend is having a hard time? Recently it feels like I’m walking on eggshells as I speak—I don’t want to complain when my life is objectively better than almost everyone else’s. So...why are we all so miserable? Is this a collective quarter life crisis?

Who knows? Maybe a nice trip where I can lay under the Costa Rican sun will do me some good. I’ll be back next week to give you an update.

the other girls

DHT+Boob+BTS+Promo+still+4.jpg

Diary,

That’s the way my night went. He fucked me like he didn’t have anywhere else to go. Plus, he didn’t freak out when I fell asleep. He was sweet in the morning. He didn’t make me breakfast or anything but after we had sex, he offered to get me a cab back to my place. He said, “we should do this again sometime” but all guys say that. Besides, I have a boyfriend.

I’m sure he has plenty of girls who would be upset to hear him say he’s single—worse still, to know he just had sex with me. I wonder if he’s tender with all of them. People are born with certain talents; maybe his talent is fucking?

It’s not like I want to leave Ryan, I just want to be around someone who acknowledges that I exist. Someone who is happy to be near me...is that too much to ask

XO,

Eve

A Recap Of Our Night:

Him: Why are you soaking wet?

Me: Why do you think? It’s raining outside.

Him: You should have told me you had to walk. I would have sent you a car—or came to meet you. I do have an umbrella...

Me: It doesn’t matter. Then we’d both be wet and low key miserable. Neither of us would be in the mood.

Him: I don’t know about that.

Then he peels off my wet jacket and places his hand underneath my shirt. I’m not wearing a bra, so his thumb grazes my breast and plays with my nipple. It’s like he’s trying to figure out what it looks like before he sees it, that’s the way he touches me, with curiosity.

He’s taller than me so I grab his neck and twist my legs around his waist. He kisses my neck and doesn’t let go of my breast. Slowly, my pants come off. They slide off my wet thighs and make a thud on the floor. He slips his fingers inside me in the same way he groped my breast—with curiosity.

Caught in the rain

original.jpg

Dear Diary,

I’m glad I called Raven. A part of me feels like I should be ashamed...but the wiser part is devising a plan to see him again. The thing is, I don’t want to come across as desperate or become one of those sad (sad) girls that fights over him. Although, I kind of see why they do...

He has a big dick and he knows how to use it. I wish that was all it was but (unfortunately) he was also really sweet to me. Almost tender. I thought, I hoped, this was going to be a standard booty call. But...

When he answered the door, he looked concerned. I had walked two blocks to his house (the Lyft dropped me off a few streets away from him) and had gotten caught in the rain...

Lies

Die+Happy+Tonight+2.00_01_60_01.Still013.jpg

Dear Diary,

I can’t believe how amazing my life is going. My job is great, my boyfriend is wonderful, and I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Maybe I’ll stay in NYC forever! My relationship with my parents is better than—lol, I can’t even finish that sentence.

Everything is shit. My job is shit, my friends fucking suck, and I hate my stupid apartment. It’s so gaudy and it reminds me of everything I hate about myself. I really want to get away, maybe take a vacation with the one person in my life who I can be myself around...but it feels like that person changes by the week. Lately I’ve been feeling like I can’t be comfortable around anyone; it’s like I don’t belong anywhere.

In any case, it’s not like I could take a vacation even if I had someone to come with me. I’m busy at work and Rosewood is crazy as ever. The money is good, but I haven’t had time to think.

Will it ever end?

Sweet

DHT+Sex+Tapes-Episode+2+still+2.jpg

Dear Diary,

I decided to look for something to distract me from the existential dread that routinely plagues me whenever I go home for the holidays.

As juvenile as it sounds, I went to the places I used to hang around when I was in high school. There was a 7-11 across the street from the high school but even that felt like too much. I wanted to get into trouble, not go to jail. Then I thought of the library, but it was closed until after the new year. Then I remembered; the skatepark.

Burnouts, students, and actual pros used to hang out there back in my day (God, it was only five years ago—why does it feel so long?). Unfortunately, when I got there it was pretty much empty. There were a few shaggy haired dudes practicing some tricks on beaten up boards...then I saw the kid. A slacker from my AP Physics class who was undeniably smart and unquestionably a pain in the ass. But he looked different than he used to. More mature...or something.

He saw me staring at him and said, “Hello.”

Cherry Pie

DHT+Sex+Tapes-Episode+2+still+4.jpg

Dear Diary,

I just realized, I never told you how my trip back home was.

It was pretty uneventful but that’s what makes it so noteworthy. My younger cousins are growing up...so are my friends, so am I. I know this isn’t rocket science or a new occurrence. Still, I think that when you’re younger you’re in such a hurry to do things and see the world. It’s like you’re laying the foundation for who you’ll become. Some people turn into their parents and others turn into people they don’t recognize.

I almost didn’t recognize my cousins; I guess I’ve been away from home longer than I thought. They didn’t ambush me and bombard me with questions the way they used to. Instead, they hugged me and asked me about my trip, then they went back downstairs to play video games. I decided I’d remind them who their favorite cousin was with a pie—cherry—my specialty.

As I was rolling the dough and preparing the pie crust, I caught my reflection in the freshly shined table. I looked like my mom, or rather, I looked like my mom when she was still a plump, juicy, cherry.

And just like the pie I was making, soon that cherry would turn into something barely recognizable—but, hopefully, so much sweeter.

Hollow Holidays

Dear Diary,

I got a post-holiday text message from Ryan. It was simple.

Hey. With no How are you or what have you been up to attached. I was crushed but I wanted to keep it light. I responded, Not today Satan, not today. I thought he would laugh but he didn’t say anything. Anyway, a few hours later I said—okay, well nice hearing from you, merry christmas!

This time he did respond. He said, wow. K, merry christmas to you to.

I felt like he was angry with me, but I didn’t want to take the bait. I didn’t have to wait long. After fifteen minutes he said,

Look, it’s just that I’m not in town that often. It feels like you’re blowing me off.

--What? I don’t owe you sex, bro.

...Do you have someone else? Already??

--That’s none of your concern.

All right, I see how it is.

I don’t know if I made the right decision. A few minutes ago, he sent me another message. He said, hey, I’m sorry. Merry Christmas.

Even though I won, technically...I still feel hollow inside.

Unapologetically

Screen+Shot+2019-12-28+at+5.17.43+PM.jpg

Dear Diary,

I’m in an especially peculiar situation. I can see returns on any investment I make on my personal appearance almost instantaneously.  One of the many perks of working in a strip club. I told my new beau about it and he laughed.

I don’t really like him. He’s the SVP at L’Oreal or something, he made his job sound like a big deal, but I know it’s just upper middle management (to quote Westworld). Even if he did work hard to get where he is, he’s still a forty-year-old man who chases after women less than half his age. I think I’m mature enough to know we’re not on the same playing field, we’re practically girls to him. Also, I’m on my period and my bitchy side is out in full force.

I like it. You know what else pissed me off about him? He made my comment about the strip club seem so trivial, but I bet stripper data is something many marketing “experts” would love to get their hands on. He’s lucky he has money, or I wouldn’t talk to him at all.

-Unapologetically,

Eve

The animal that lurks beneath us all

Screen Shot 2016-05-29 at 8.56.57 PM.png

Dear Diary,

I decided to give Jeremy another chance. Fuck—Ryan! I really meant to say Ryan. Anyway, I decided to give Ryan a chance.

He said he was busy and “the nature of [his] work means he can’t always be transparent with me”, like he works in the fucking CIA or something. Still, I guess he’s working with sensitive artists and Ryan doesn’t know me well enough to be sure I can keep a secret. All in all, it can’t hurt to give him another chance...so long as I don’t get too attached and fall for his flattery.

Besides, I’m horny. So horny. There’s no polite way to put it; I want his dick inside me. I need him.

I can’t have just anyone. I need the buildup, the anticipation. I need to feel him wanting me, the animal that lurks beneath us all. I want everything. I want to give in to it all. I want him to cum in my face and spit in my mouth and push my face into his asshole.

Hopefully sex with him is good and he doesn’t cum fast or something lame like that.

That would be such a disappointment.

Morning

Photo+Oct+11%2C+6+58+31+PM.jpg

Dear Diary,

Perhaps I should make a habit of getting up early? I’m in a creative haze, and I keep touching myself...it feels like I’m on the edge of an orgasm that I can’t allow myself to have. Not for a little while.

My date with Ryan was nice, but he refused to sleep with me. Either he’s toying with me or he has a small penis and he wants me to like him for his personality before he shows it to me, and I run away screaming. Haha, I crack myself up sometimes.

On a serious note I think he enjoys playing with me. Maybe mind games turn him on...in a way, I like them too. I need to remember to have fun, not everything is so serious. And lovers come and go—I don’t get mad at butterflies for flying away.

Even though I want this one to stay.

Until next time!

XOXO
